MBC Labor of Love 2024 Executive Summary

Magnolia Baptist Church (MBC) held its 11th annual Labor of Love Service Project Event on Saturday, August 31. Labor of Love 2024 and JMh / Love Anaheim brought together 10 partnering organizations, 5 sponsors and 5 Anaheim churches in addition to 150 volunteers who completed 21 Projects.

Thank you to all who planned, organized, prayed and led prior to and during the event. TOGETHER, all involved in Labor of Love: Assembled 400 Food Bags, 400 Small & 200 Large Hygiene Bags, 1000 Neighborhood Care Bags & 1000 Care Bags for City of Anaheim Employees, 400 Care Baskets, 300 Senior Care Bags; Made 372 encouragement cards, Painted 17 Fire Hydrants, Created 3,876 Touch-points, Did yard work for a Senior Couple, for 25 Mobile Homes in Cherokee Mobile Home Park, and at the MBC Project Site.

We are grateful for the energy given, and the relationships developed that will all carry forward for months and years. The 510 hours of volunteer time - $17,080 (in IRS value), $4,200 of In Kind donations, and $650 in cash donations produced a total give back to the City of Anaheim of $21,930. It was a FABULOUS DAY!
